SPIRITUS DEI WELLNESS CENTER offers guidance to destress, renew, and reorient towards the Lord for people of all or no faiths.
Renew the mind, reorient your life toward the Lord.

Work. Stress. Busyness. Disconnect. These are common in our modern world. St. Peter was walking on water when he took his eyes off Jesus. He began to sink. It's easy to take our eyes off the Lord. The SPIRITUS DEI WELLNESS CENTER REORIENT CHALLENGE is designed to help people from all walks of life to refocus, recenter, and reorient toward God. No longer being aimlessly busy but living in an intentional way that makes room for a relationship with God.
Confession - Ugh, do I have to go?
This is a tough one, I'll admit. I have my own uncomfortable childhood memories of this sacrament. As an adult, my experience has surprised me a bit. I have found the juxtaposition of ritual and the love of Christ through His priests to be a comfort. A feeling of freedom comes from being back to the confessional - restored as an adopted child of God! Partaking of the sacrament often helps me keep in right relationship with God and shows me areas for personal growth.
Mass - But I'm so busy on Sunday!
Have you ever given a gift and did not receive a "thank you"? It always leaves me feeling that my gift missed the mark, or maybe our relationship just wasn't as good as I thought it was. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is an exchange of gifts. We offer our lives to the Lord, the Lord sacrifices his life for us, and the priest (and the congregation) receives that sacrificial offering. When we give God right worship at mass, we say "thank you" in a way befitting our God. Not been to mass in a while? Be sure to attend the sacrament of confession before receiving the Eucharist. Not Catholic? No worries. Mass is open for all to attend. Holy Communion is reserved for practicing Catholics in the State of Grace.
Prayer - I pray before meals, is that enough?
Ah, this is a good start, but is this enough for you? You might think so now but wait until Jesus opens the door! "Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened." I didn't realize the Truth of this scripture until I began praying the rosary, and the door opened in short order. He drew me in. I wanted to know more; I wanted more time with Him. Plan to spend thirty minutes per day being quiet, still, focused. The rosary, sacred scripture, and adoration are great ways to engage in prayer.
